So evocative you can hear the sound of the waves and feel the sand between your toes.
Why I love it
Book of the Month
For an easy, breezy beach read, look no further than the works of Elin Hilderbrand—her latest is so evocative you can almost hear the sound of the waves and feel the sand between your toes. Set on the elite islands of Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket, The Identicals follows twin sisters who, after years of estrangement, trade lives in order to save their relationship. Mistaken identity hijinks and plenty of romance ensue.

Elin is one of my favorite “go to” authors for airplane and beach books. I’ve read most of her books and haven’t found a dud yet. Her books are pure entertainment without a lot of thinking required
Love Elin! Great book with lots of great characters. I enjoyed the different ages of the characters. The story flowed well, I liked the narrative from all characters and couldn't stop reading! Great read

This isn’t my first of Elin Hilderbrand’s, but it might just be my favorite. I love how she writes from each character’s perspective. Also how she wrapped this up so perfectly. Such a great read!

I read this on my vacation over to the course of two sittings. It was great to just sit, relax and read. Really light and easy to read with a fun story line and relatable characters. I'd read it again

Great book about sisterly love and families that aren't always perfect all the time. Situated on a great island who wouldnt want to visit. Loved it great Summer read. Second Elin Hilderbrand book LOVE
Like all her other books, the author crafted a detailed page turner with characters that are relateable and an exciting line. Her books are becoming a bit predictable, but still some of my favorites.

I was looking for a light beach read and found it! Once I started this book I could not put it down. My only wish for this book would have been that the ending had more to it I did not want it to end.
This was such a well-written book! As a twin, I loved the twin dynamic; so accurate The love stories ended just as I felt they should & I love that even the mother/daughter relationships were changed.
A light vacation read that made me want to book a trip to Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket immediately, if only to sample all the interesting food Elin describes! My first Elin book; I'll read more!
This was a great read and the twins got a long just like I think twin sister would. It always affects everyone when a divorce happens. Both sisters are about 40 and not married. They fell in love.
I always love Elin's books, but the endings always frustrate me. I am hooked through the middle and then I get to the end and wind up wanting more. Never fails, but yet I continue to read her stuff!
This is everything I look for in a beach read ~ charming characters, idyllic setting, swiftly moving plot with heart. I look forward to reading a Elin Hilderbrand novel every summer for a fun escape

It's been a while since I've read a book with all female main characters that I've actually loved. It was great to see each of the three ladies develop in this wonderfully written and engaging novel
I love this author. Such easy reads, and each one keeps you enthralled! The author makes you feel like you are friends with these characters and you genuinely care about the outcome of their lives!
I absolutely loved this novel about twin sisters. Did you ever watch and enjoy "The Parent Trap" movie? This story will slightly remind you of that movie. It's the best beach read book of 2017.

I really loved the way the text jumped from one character to another. Although the twins were pinned against each other in the text, I ended up liking both of them so much as I continued to read.

The perfect beach read! This is the first Hilderbrand book and I can't wait to read her other books. I need a fun book to read as a palate cleanser between the heavy novels I gravitate towards.

It's about twins so I love it!! Still, I could never imagine hating my twin sister no matter what she did. The change in scenery causing a change in perspective and change in life was well done
I enjoyed the book, characters and plot. This book touched on some of the difficulties/expectations of being a twin (not all rosy!). Towards the end I found myself rooting for them all. Book 2?
I went into this book expecting typical Elin Hilderbrand - Nantucket, family drama and a romance. While it was all of those things, it was much more! My favorite Elin Hilderbrand book so far!
